This week’s lesson in well-being…

  1. Xplain It!

Belongingness is the human emotional need to be an accepted member of a group. But, it goes beyond knowing you are a part of a group. To truly feel belongingness, one must feel they are an important part of something greater than themselves. Interactions with other people in the group must be constant, positive and personal. The bond with others in the group must feel stable, with an obvious mutual concern for one another and a knowing that the bond will continue into the future. Read the detailed WIKI on the topic of Belongingness here.

(We know wiki’s are not always the most reliable news source but in our research we found this one to be the best thorough yet brief overview of the topic – well worth the 3-5 min read)
