As part of a school wide Eco Team initiative, Rosedale will take part in the World Wildlife Federation (“WWF”) Sweater Day on Thursday, February 2, 2017. We will be joining millions of other Canadians that day by lowering our heat and wearing a warm sweater to school. Please note, that the school heating will be lowered by 2°C, and students are advised to bring an extra sweater or warm layer to school that day.
According to WWF:
“National Sweater Day is a fun way to learn about the importance of saving energy and to inspire you to use less heat all winter. Heating accounts for 80% of residential energy use in Canada and is a significant source of emissions. If all Canadians lowered their thermostats by just 2 degrees Celsius this winter, it would reduce greenhouse gas emissions by about 4 megatons – that’s equivalent to shutting down a 600 mega watt coal-fired power station or taking nearly 700,000 cars off the road! “

Just a quick reminder that today is a PA day. There is no school for students today. Have a great weekend!
We are pleased to be offering a pasta lunch option. Catered by Abruzzo, students will have the choice of penne pasta with tomato sauce or penne pasta with butter/parmesan. The cost is $22 for 4 weeks every Wednesday (Feb 15th, 22nd and Mar 1st, 8th.)
Based on popularity we will look to extend this lunch option further into the school year.
Please use school cash online to register.

In order to support the continuation of our Monday pizza lunch program, we are asking for additional volunteers to help on a rotating basis. Duties include the distribution of pizza to our students from 12pm-12:30pm. Please contact email@example.com if you are able to help out. Without parental support the pizza program will have to be cancelled.
